Credit/debit card transactions are being declined. What is the issue?

Step 1: Verify Internet Connection.
Ensure that your device is connected to your network and that the network is not experiencing any disruptions.
Step 2: Verify Internet Speed.
EkiKart recommends a minimum download speed of 100Mbps (Megabits per second) and an upload speed of 1GB (Gigabytes). Ensure your internet speed is sufficient for running the software smoothly.
If necessary, consider upgrading your internet service for optimal performance.
Step 3: Ensure Card Reader Connection.
Next, double-check that the card reader is securely connected to the system. A proper connection is crucial for the smooth processing of payments.
Step 4: Validate Card Information and Funds.
Confirm that the customer’s card is not expired and that they have sufficient funds in their account to complete the transaction. If the customer is using a credit card, ensure they have not reached their credit limit.
Step 5: Retry Payment
Retry the payment card again. If the customer tapped their card, ask them to try inserting their card and entering the PIN instead.
Step 6: Reboot Your POS System.
If the issue persists, try rebooting g your POS device. Sometimes, simply rebooting your device can resolve technical hiccups.
